Cette stratégie est basée sur deux indicateurs bien connus: l'indice de force relative (RSI) et la moyenne mobile pondérée (WMA). Elle identifie la tendance du marché et suit sa direction.
L'indicateur RSI est l'un des indicateurs les plus connus de surachat/survente.
$$RSI = 100 - \frac{100}{1+\frac{AvgGain}{AvgLoss}}$$
où AvgGain est la moyenne des jours où la clôture est supérieure à l'ouverture au cours des x derniers jours, et AvgLoss est la moyenne de la valeur absolue des jours où la clôture est inférieure à l'ouverture au cours des x derniers jours.
Cette stratégie définit la période du RSI comme 20 pour juger de la tendance. RSI supérieur à 60 génère un signal long, RSI inférieur à 40 génère un signal court.
Comparée à la SMA, la WMA pèse plus lourdement sur les prix récents.

Lorsque w est le poids, w augmente de façon exponentielle avec l'augmentation de i. Cette stratégie utilise la formule de poids suivante:
$$w = \begin{cases} 100/(4+(n-4)1.3), et i <= 3 \ 1.3w, & i > 3 \end{cases}$$
C'est-à-dire que le poids est égal au cours des 3 derniers jours, et augmente 1,3 fois tous les 1 jour en arrière.
La longueur de la WMA dans cette stratégie est de 20.
Signaux longs: RSI > 60 et ROC de 20 jours de WMA < -1 Signal court: RSI < 40 et ROC de 20 jours de WMA > 1
Lorsque le ROC de 20 jours de la WMA est calculé comme suit:

Cette stratégie combine le RSI et le WMA pour déterminer la direction de la tendance, visant à tirer profit de la tendance majeure à moyen ou long terme. La gestion de l'argent et les stratégies de prise de profit sont également utilisées pour contrôler les risques. Elle a une valeur pratique, mais les paramètres et le mécanisme de stop loss nécessitent des tests et une optimisation continus pour de meilleurs résultats. Les investisseurs doivent évaluer la situation, intervenir manuellement si nécessaire et assurer des risques contrôlables.
