Strategi ini menggunakan rangkaian saraf buatan (ANN) untuk meramalkan perubahan harga masa depan dan menghasilkan isyarat perdagangan berdasarkan ramalan. Ia tergolong dalam strategi trend berikut. Kelebihannya ialah ia dapat mengenal pasti trend bukan linear yang kompleks dan sesuai untuk perdagangan jangka menengah hingga panjang. Walau bagaimanapun, ia juga mempunyai risiko terlalu sesuai dengan data backtest dan kurang berprestasi dalam perdagangan langsung.
Strategi ini menggunakan model ANN untuk meramalkan perubahan peratusan pada hari dagangan seterusnya.
Lapisan input hanya mempunyai satu nod, yang merupakan perubahan peratusan hari sebelumnya.
Lapisan tersembunyi mempunyai 2 lapisan, yang pertama dengan 5 nod, dan yang kedua dengan 33 nod. Kedua-duanya menggunakan tangen hiperbolik (tanh) sebagai fungsi pengaktifan.
Lapisan output mempunyai satu nod, melalui fungsi pengaktifan linear untuk menjana ramalan akhir.
Jika ramalan lebih besar daripada parameter ambang, isyarat panjang dihasilkan. Jika kurang daripada negatif ambang, isyarat pendek dihasilkan.
Strategi berasaskan ANN ini dapat mengenal pasti trend bukan linear yang kompleks dan sesuai untuk perdagangan jangka menengah hingga panjang. Walau bagaimanapun, sifat kotak hitam model ANN juga menimbulkan cabaran yang signifikan untuk perdagangan langsung. Kita perlu mengoptimumkan di seluruh ciri input, seni bina model, penyesuaian parameter, pembelajaran ensemble dan lain-lain sambil menggabungkan dengan analisis teknikal tradisional untuk prestasi dunia nyata yang kukuh. Strategi AI masih perlu bercampur dengan teknik konvensional untuk memaksimumkan prestasi.
